A yellow rainfall warning has been issued for the Shannonside region from tonight.
Met Éireann is warning of heavy rainfall across Connacht, Longford, Cavan, Monaghan, Westmeath and Meath.
It's forecasting between 40 and 50mm of rain with a risk of river and localised flooding, especially in mountainous areas.

The yellow warning will be in effect for 24 hours from 9o'clock tonight.
