Two burglaries in one night in Frenchpark, as Roscommon crime spree continues

Two houses were broken into in Frenchpark in one night last weekend, as concerns over crime in Co Roscommon continue.

They were both burgled on Friday night, or in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Cash was robbed in one house but nothing was taken in the other.

These are the latest in a series of burglaries in Co Roscommon recently, leading to a protest rally in Castlerea yesterday week.

Independent councillor Micheál Frain, from Ballaghaderreen, says the trend is very worrying.
