Longford's youngest entrepreneurs will today get the opportunity to sell their products in the county town.
Students who took part in the student enterprise awards this year will be set up in Herterich's Pig Market Lane until 12:30pm. The event is being organised by Senator Micheál Carrigy who says he was blown away by the high standard of the products on display at the enterprise awards.
Minister of State at the Department of Finance Jennifer Carroll MacNeill will meet the students today along with local credit union branches.
Senator Carrigy is encouraging the public to support the young entrepreneurs.
''I was impressed, I felt I'd like to do something and give the students an opportunity of the general wider public here in Longford to see the products they've come up and give the opportunity of selling them products and we've invited in the various credit unions within Longford that come under the remit of the Minister but also credit unions are in a position to give micro finance loans for start up small businesses so I'd invite the general public to come in and support the students.''
