Civil Defence is a volunteer based organization that supports the front line emergency services throughout the country. Each county has their own chapter of the service, with 3,500 volunteer members nationwide. Based at the Fire Station in Roscommon Town, Roscommon Civil Defense have been working with national services along with a range of community organisations and sports clubs over the years.
