Dozens of children in Mullingar and Crumlin Hospital's Paediatrics Wards were treated to a special Christmas Surprise this morning.
Staff from local charity Cian's Kennels spent the morning dropping goody bags and gifts to children undergoing treatment at the two hospitals.
Set up in 2020 in memory of 15 year old Cian Neary, the charity brings sick children closer to their pets at a specially built centre at Crumlin Hospital.
Daniel Considine spoke to Charity Director and Cian's mother Evelyn Neary along with Director of Nursing at Mullingar Hospital Katherine Kenny about the event and how children cope while in hospital during Christmas.
