A Leitrim energy contractor says he's afraid new regulations about attic and wall insulation will mean some people won't be able to afford to have it done.
The grant aid to get attic and wall insulation carried out rose to 80% earlier this year and householders were able o pay a small amount upfront and let the contractor claim the rest of the grant from the Sustainable Energy Authority.
Due to new restrictions on energy credit payments to contractors though, Donal Quinn from Leitrim Warner homes says it will be much less attractive from the 1st of December for the companies to fund the upfront cost of the works.
Donal and Roscommon/Galway TD Michael Fitzmaurice spoke to Anne Norris about their concerns on today's Let's Talk show.
