A mass vaccination centre has opened in Roscommon today.
It's expected that once supplies become available up to 1,000 people a day will receive their jab at the Abbey Hotel.
The AstraZeneca vaccine will be delivered to people 69 and under, with the over 70s being taken care of by GP-led clinics.
People will receive the appointments by text and those without a mobile will be called directly.
The centre is being run with teams from Roscommon University Hospital.
Manager Mary Garvey is advising people who still have concerns over AstraZeneca to contact their GP or consultant ahead of getting their appointment.
