The Roscommon/Longford garda division is asking members of the public to nominate young people for the Garda Youth Awards before the end of this month.
The awards celebrate outstanding young people between the ages of 13 and 21 who are making a positive contribution to their local community.
Roscommon based Inspector David Cryan has been speaking on the Let's Talk show today about how the awards work and how people can nominate young people who they feel should be acknowledged for the work they've been doing for their community.
Nomination forms can be emailed to [email protected] or can be posted to the Community Policing Unit at Castlerea/Granard/Longford/Roscommon Garda stations.
Nominations must be received by 5pm on Friday 30th of April 2021 to qualify for consideration.
