A group of five friends have embarked on an ambitious fundraising challenge in support of a Roscommon woman who was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. Brian Kelly, Eoghan Diffley, Emmet Burke, Ciaran McManus, and Conor Murphy aim to kick 32 points in all 32 counties in aid of Conor's mum, Nicola. The 32, 32, 32 Challenge will see the five visit club pitches around the country in a bid to complete the challenge. A Go Fund Me page has also been set up and a percentage of all funds will go to a charity of Nicola's choice.
A 44-year-old mother of two and wife of Roscommon Councillor Joe Murphy, Nicola was diagnosed with MND in 2023. Speaking to Dan Dooner, Conor said his mother's positive attitude has inspired the friends' fundraising efforts.
