It's hoped a new farm safety programme, supported by the Shannonside-based Irish Rural link, can be rolled out in this region shortly.
Earlier this week the Farmers4Safety - Managing Risk Together EIP AGRI Project was launched in County Cork.
It supports a farmer to farmer mentoring approach to identifying farm safety issues as well as investigating farm families' behaviours and attitudes towards farm safety, health and well-being and changes the norm around farm safety and emotional wellbeing
Moate based Irish Rural link, as well as a number of other groups, are collaborating on the project.
