Leitrim County Council has recently appointed a historian in residence to focus on celebrating and remembering key events during the centenary of 1921.
The pandemic has hampered a lot of events, but Leitrim native Jack Kavanagh is hoping that people will get in touch with him to share their memories and especially artifacts that will form part of a wider program of remembrance in the county.
