The Director of ARUP consulting says she hopes they’ll have been able to talk to a good number of people who may be affected by the new Carrick by-pass plans during the two consultation events this week at the Landmark Hotel.
The preferred transport solution for the route was published this week and hundreds of householders were informed that they are in or near a three hundred metre corridor which is being considered for containing the new road.
The first public display of the route has been taking place in Carrick-on-Shannon yesterday and today and a similar process will take place early next year when the corridor will have been narrowed down even further.
An environmental assessment on the narrowed down route will take place during next year and a planning application to An Bord Pleanala would follow.
