Hundreds of people got up in the early hours of the morning on Saturday to take part in seven Darkness Into Light events in the Shannonside region.
These walks took place in Strokestown, Roscommon town, Castlerea, Boyle, Ballinamore, Longford town and Ballymahon.
They were among dozens of events which too place across the country, while they also took place in 14 other countries around the world.

It's an annual fundraiser for suicide prevention charity Pieta.
Eoghan Murphy took part in Saturday's event in Boyle, and afterwards, he first spoke to Melissa Doohan, the chairperson of the organising committee; and Ann Chapman, who is from Marian Road in Boyle but now lives in Dublin. They featured on Monday's Let's Talk.
