The family of Rooskey man Liam Farrell are calling for a new garda investigation into his tragic death.
The 87-year-old died in January 2020 and an inquest in Carrick-on-Shannon last week delivered an open verdict.
This means the jury couldn’t be satisfied with the cause or circumstances of his death.
His family believes he was attacked before he died.
Yesterday evening, our reporter Eoghan Murphy spent some time at Liam’s home, where he died.
He spoke to his son, Peter, and first asked him about his dad’s last movements.
Another son, Brendan, also believes a new garda investigation is needed.
