A Ukrainian refugee says she has been living in a Leitrim hotel with her mother for over a year because she can't find a rental property.
Inna fled to Ireland from Kyiv in January of last year and secured employment here before Christmas, after a 10-month job hunt. But she is still living in the Bush Hotel in Carrick-on-Shannon with her mother because of the shortage of rental homes in the area. There are only six homes available to rent in Co Leitrim and the average price is 1,300 euro a month.
Eoghan Murphy met Inna in Carrick and she first told her about coming here from Ukraine.
