The Minister for Communications is hoping that he can keep as many post offices as possible open.
Roscommon Galway's Denis Naughten, who has assumed the brief of the network from Minister Michael Ring, says he has secured an agreement from cabinet that post offices become part of a government network nationwide, with a view to expanding their role within communities.
