FND stands for Functional Neurological Disorder and presents with a number of different neurological symptoms.

The condition occurs due to a problem with how the brain and body send and receive signals, resulting in abnormal neurological function.

FND is the second most common reason to see a neurologist and can affect anyone, but is more common in women than men.

It can occur at any age, but is uncommon in children under 10 years.

FND.ie provide advice, information and support to those with the condition or their loved ones.

Catherine and Eddie from the group each spoke to Daniel Considine about their own families journey with the condition.
