Former All-Ireland winning manager, Sean Boylan, has been paying tribute to his close friend John O'Mahony.
The Ballaghaderreen, Co Roscommon, resident died on Saturday, at the age of 71.
As well as managing Galway to the Sam Maguire Cup twice, the former TD and senator led Leitrim to a historic Connacht title in 1994.
His funeral will take place in St Nathy's Cathedral in Ballaghaderreen on Thursday at 12 noon.
Boylan's Meath team were beaten by O'Mahony's Galway in the All-Ireland football final in 2001 - he has been paying tribute to his close friend.
