This year Thirty schools from across the country went yellow in support of a national fundraising campaign organised by local students to recognise the incredible efforts of medics who miraculously saved the lives of twin babies from Longford who were born at just 24 weeks old.
Edward and Patrick McGlynn underwent a number of life-threatening surgeries during the course of painstaking treatment
Their older sister Maria saw first hand the care and work that went into her brothers treatment and she along with her friends, Shauna Nolan, Aoibheann Brennan- Grennan and Ava Finneran founded the Go yellow Campaign.
The major fundraising drive raised over €30,000 for Temple Street, Crumlin Children's Hospital and The National Maternity Hospital.
The girls had their incredible efforts recognised this weekend with a national Garda youth award
