A north Longford riding school is one of a small number of businesses introducing a new nature based system of horse care in Ireland.
Happy Horse Equestrian Centre use the Track System, a new method of horse care that is spreading across the UK and the US.
Designed to encourage movement and restrict grass intake, track systems are circular or continuous loop tracks with the tracks either made up of earth or are artificially surfaced with sand, gravel or concrete in order to naturally abrade the horses hooves.
The system is designed to mimic the horse's natural environment.
The Centre is run by the Kelly Family from their home near Ballinamuck.
Daniel Considine has been speaking to Caroline Kelly about the system, the riding school and some big plans for the future.
