A Leitrim local elections candidate has condemned nuisance phone calls relating to the upcoming elections.
Gary Prior, who is standing in the Ballinamore local electoral area, said a number of people in the area received phone calls in the middle of the night from a person who mentioned his campaign.
He said they weren’t acting on his behalf.

Eoghan Murphy met Gary in Ballinamore to discuss his campaign, and the Fianna Fail candidate first told him what happened at the weekend.
