Former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern was in Roscommon recently where he gave a keynote speech at the Percy French Festival. He discussed recent civil unrest in Dublin, Anglo-Irish relations following Taoiseach Simon Harris; visit to Chequers, and the prospect of a United Ireland.
The former Fianna Fáil leader also discussed the current political climate and refused to rule out a Presidential run in the future. Speaking to Dan Dooner, he began with a brief outline of his keynote speech, titled 'Towards a Vision for a New Ireland in the current political landscape':
