Junior Transport Minister Jack Chambers was in Longford town on Wednesday, where Eoghan Murphy spoke to him about a range of local issues, including the upgrade of the N4, the Carrick-on-Shannon bypass and the carnage on our roads this year.
A total of 55 people have died on our roads this year - up 13 on the same period in 2023.
He first spoke about the controversy over Roscommon post office.
There was a public backlash after An Post planned to move from its current premises on The Square to a new location.
It later decided the business would continue to operate there.
The Minister of State gave an update on the process.
