Independent Gerry Dolan has been a councillor in Leitrim for 33 years, but he is now standing down.
He has announced he won't be seeking re-election in June's local elections.
Eoghan Murphy met him at his home on the Dowra Road in Drumshanbo.

Councillor Dolan first explained how he currently has four jobs, even though he will turn 77 in September.
