Longford Charity Cian's Kennels is one of the finalists in the National Lottery Good Causes Awards 2024.

Cian's Kennels re-unite children undergoing medical treatment with their beloved family pets at their purpose built centre at the Children's Hospital in Dublin.
Cian, a wonderful 15 year old boy from Longford passed away due to illness in 2019 . While undergoing treatment, Cian and the family adopted Cooper, a lovely golden labrador who became best friends with Cian and comforted him greatly.
The charity was formed to bring that comfort to other children in need.
Cian's mother Evelyn spoke to Daniel Considine about the charity and the Good Causes Awards.
