Tara Farrell from Longford Women's Link says asking how women can keep themselves safe  is not going to deal with the problem of male violence.

Speaking on the Let's Talk show this afternoon in the aftermath of the shocking murder of a young Offaly woman who was out jogging along a canal walkway the Women's Link CEO says  the focus needs to go on the perpetrators.

Tara Farrell says one of the major concerns in the campaign to tackle this issue is the lack of appropriate sentences in the criminal justice system.
