A Longford National School are appealing to the Longford business Community and beyond to 'Pitch-In for Melview'.
The school is hoping to fundraise enough money to create a safer, more accessible all-weather astro-play space.
The school is asking businesses and the community to help them collect bottles and cans that can be used in the Deposit Return Scheme to raise funds.
Melview NS has grown in size on a limited site and has very little play space when the weather renders the muddy green areas unplayable.
Daniel Considine stopped by the school this morning to talk to the students and teachers behind the plans.
