Over 2,100 performers are set to take part in the provincial finals in the Connacht Fleadh in Strokestown, Co Roscommon, over the next three days.
There are dancing, music, singing and storytelling competitions on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, ranging from Under-12s to adults.
The chairman of this year's Connacht Fleadh, John Keane, spoke to Eoghan Murphy on Thursday's Let's Talk – firstly about the significance of the event going to Strokestown.
