Political commentators are reacting today to the Taoiseach's comparison of a former Taoiseach and TD from the Shannonside Region, to Donald Trump at yesterday's meeting in the Oval Office.
When discussing the Ukraine/Russia peace negotiations, Micheál Martin compared it to the peace process in Ireland in the 90s and those who drove it forward.
He paid tribute to President Trump in relation to negotiations and described how former Fianna Fail Taoiseach and Longford man Albert Reynolds had also been criticised for his work seeking peace.
