A major clean-up operation is underway in communities and parishes near Rooskey after flash floods ripped up roads on Thursday night.
Several inches of rain fell in a very short period causing major issues in several communities just a few kilometers from the village.
Sean Sherwin was one of those affected and the former TD spoke to Kevin McGillicuddy about how he was forced from his home due to the floodwaters that entered his home :
Seamus Bourke lives up the Mullagh road and he had water coming in his letterbox the flooding was so bad.
He told Kevin that only for his neighbors the situation could have been so much worse:
