A group of young local students have been given the chance to explore European legends in person on the continent this week.
Students from the Ballymahon Vocational School are taking part in multi national Erasmus plus project in Belgium.
The project involves students and teachers from Ireland, Demark, Spain and Belguim working on literature, lore, legends and myths of their host country.
The group previously travelled to Denmark to learn of Norse and Viking traditions, with international students arriving to Longford later this year to explore culture here.
Daniel Considine has been speaking to Thomas Dennigan, one of the teachers from the Ballymahon Vocational school currently guiding students around Belgium, along with students Simon and Audrey.
