A Longford woman, who suffered serious injuries in a road crash in 2009, is urging people to slow down, and take more care on roads this Christmas period.
Laura Doherty, from Killoe, suffered significant brain trauma in the crash which occurred just outside Edgeworthstown as she was returning home after working in a hospital.
The newly qualified doctor has been told that fatigue was a significant factor in her crash and she is asking people getting behind the wheel to be aware of the dangers of driving while feeling tired.
She was at the RSA's latest safety campaign launch this week in Dublin and has been speaking to Kevin McGillicuddy.
