PODCAST: Delight in Elphin as much-loved community centre reopens

Elphin Community Centre in Co Roscommon has reopened after a €300,000 upgrade.

The facility, which hosts weekly bingo nights and other events, closed in March to allow for the refurbishment.

A combination of state and community funding was spent on making the building more comfortable and energy efficient.

Our reporter Eoghan Murphy visited the centre last night and spoke to some of the committee - treasurer Valerie Byrne and directors Tina Brennan and Det Reynolds.
