Gardai on the frontline in the Shannonside/Northern Sound region are fearful of contracting Coronavirus through their normal duties as well as at special Covid-19 checkpoints.
That’s according to a spokesperson for Garda members who are taking extra precautions in order their lower their risk of contracting the virus.
Several people have appeared in court in the last week across the region in connection with alleged spitting and coughing incidents in the faces of Garda members.
