Music Generation Leitrim has unveiled two new projects for 2020.
One is the development of a youth trad orchestra and Musric Generation is currently inviting applicants from Leitrim and surrounding counties to take part. They are looking for 60 young musicians. A wide range of instruments are being sought and this is not exclusive to trad musicians/players but also classical. Michael Rooney will compose a piece of music with the children which will be premiered at the Joe Mooney summer school. The orchestra will be directed by Aidan Shannon, John Carty and Lorraine Sweeney.
