The principal of a Roscommon national school is warning other schools to be alert to heating oil thefts.
It comes as Tibohine National School reported that almost €1500 euro worth of oil was stolen from their tank on last Friday.
The school's principal, Mary Lynskey, was alerted to the theft after a staff member noticed damage to padlocks and other items on Saturday morning.

She spoke to Anne Norris about the incident and her disappointment that schools are being targeted for such thefts.
