Last week saw a number of protesters attend Carrick on Shannon Library, highlighting their opposition to the inclusion of certain LGBTQ+ content in books on offer in public libraries.
The group entered libraries where they could, unfurled banners and made speeches.
The protestors previously attended Athlone, Banagher, Roscommon and Longford Library’s where they were escorted from the building by Gardaí.
In Carrick on Shannon on Wednesday, a group of counter protestors travelled to Quay road in the town, where the protestors boat had been docked, to show local opposition to the message.
