A Roscommon farmer says the theft of livestock from his farm last week has left him shaken.
Eight bull calves being reared for organic beef were stolen from a field in the Cornafulla area on last Thursday night /Friday morning.
Padraic Molloy who was rearing the animals says he doesn't know if he'll get more in to replace them because whoever took the others could strike again.
He's been talking to Anne Norris on the Let's Talk show today about the theft, and his bemusement at why someone would steal five month old calves that need to be reared for another year before they could be sold on.
