A young County Roscommon footballer recently represented Ireland at the World Deaf Women’s Futsal Championships in Brazil.
Aisling Hanly who also plays Gaelic Football with Roscommon and Kilbride, was born profoundly deaf.
However she has not let that affect her and most recently won an All Ireland colleges football title with the Convent of Mercy in Roscommon town.
