With many accommodated in towns and villages across the Shannonside Northern Sound Region, the Ukrainian people have been adjusting to and embracing local communities.
In one such case in Longford, a group of war refugees are launching a craft masters cafe as part of Culture Night 2023.
The week long event will feature various hand crafts such as embroidery, crochet, knitting and paper mache among others with attendees urged to join in with crafter's.
The event has been organised with the support of Creative Ireland and will take place in Grafton Court close to the Longford Shopping Centre.
