Many people may have noticed in the last week that some fruit and vegetables are almost impossible to find in the shops.
The short supply of things like tomatoes has led to some fast food outlets warning of just one tomatoes slice per burger!.
Anne Norris looked for local expert advice on the shortages this week and she spoke to Brían Ellis from Fresh Today who's been sourcing fruit and vegetables for the family run business for decades.
He's been explaining how we rely on produce from the different regions of Europe across the year and that weather conditions in these areas can have a major impact , as is the case right now.
Brían also talked about the fact that many Irish growers have gone out of the business in recent years because of the constant low margins demanded by the major brands.
