Daniel Duggan from Hertfordshire, England finds his way to Cavan Town.
Born and raised in Hemel Hempstead, Daniel Duggan had Irish parents from West Cork who migrated to Hertfordshire in the 60’s where he was surrounded by many migrant Irish families. With the traditional Irish Roman Catholic upbringing and British culture uniquely ingrained in him, he grew up sheltered from the troubles happening in Ireland. In 1996, his life with his former Irish partner led him to Dublin, then Navan, and now Cavan town which he has made his home for the past 18 years. Although he considers himself more Irish than British, like any migrant, Daniel faced some challenges while starting a new life in Ireland. He advices other migrants to embrace the adventure and take in the things that make you a better person.
