Former Jockey Palestinian Fayiz Alsani from Jordan finds contentment in interpreting for the Syrian community in Roscommon.
From not speaking a single English word to becoming a Masteral graduate of English and History, Fayiz Alsani narrated his journey from being a professional jockey in Jordan to writing a thesis on “Deconstructing Media’s Depiction of the Middle East in the West,” the challenges he went through after being rejected many times in employment and studies, his love for Irish songs, and the importance of migrants embracing the history and culture of their second home.
