Sajjad Hussain from Pakistan settles down in Co. Roscommon.
Sajjad Hussain shares how he grew up with 8 siblings in a rural village in Pakistan, took economics and history in a local university, and learned barbering and catering from his father. He settled in well in Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon when he arrived in 2002 in the comfort of other Pakistani migrants and the warmth of the Irish locals. For him, cricket was the common link between Pakistan and Ireland. Opening his own barbershop resulted to new opportunities in the community where for many years he has been helping run the cricket club, refugee support centre, Tidy Towns and other projects, which all inspired him to run for office in the local elections.
