The Sliabh Beagh Swimming Club in Monaghan will host an open water event, as they prepare for the return of their sport following the Covid-19 lockdown.
With swimming pools been closed up until the beginning of this month, the sport found itself having to think outside the pool to ensure they retained their members and also kept up their skill levels.
Pearse McGuigan is the head coach with the club and he spoke to Sean McCaffrey about his involvement in the club, their planned open water event and how they coped with what was for them a very strict lockdown.
