One of the possible new owners of the Shannon Key West Hotel at Rooskey, Co Leitrim, has revealed his plans to open it immediately and more than double its size.
More than 200 people attended a public meeting at the village recently, called by a group of investors called Paradub Limited.
It was prompted by concerns James Kiernan, the current owner, plans to turn it into a refugee centre, but he denies that and says he intends completing the sale to Paradub.
One of the three investors in the group is well-known Dublin-based hotelier John Glynn, the former general manager of the Citywest and Regency hotels.
He explained to Eoghan Murphy on Tuesday's Bottom Line why he became involved in the Rooskey project.
