LISTEN: Interview with major local employer

One of the midlands’ biggest employers is Grant Engineering in Birr, Co Offaly. The company was established in 1977 and is one of the country’s leading boiler manufacturers. It employs 400 people at its base in Crinkle, Birr, and a further 75 in the UK.

On Tuesday's Bottom Line, the managing director, Stephen Grant, spoke to Eoghan Murphy earlier and outlined his grave concerns about Brexit. He first told Eoghan about the business.
