Hundreds of people in Longford town have signed a petition against a new tax on food supplements.
Currently, no VAT applies on vitamins, minerals and other products, but Revenue is to impose a 23-per-cent tax from next month.
A major national campaign is under way calling on Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe to reverse the decision.
