Planning permission has been granted for two solar farms in Longford that could cost up to €30 million.
Longford County Council has approved of Harmony Solar’s plans for a 127-acre site at Middleton, Killashee.
A separate application for a solar farm at Fisherstown, Clondra, was lodged with the council by Fisherstown Property Holdings’.

It would have a development would have an export capacity of about 4 megawatts, with photovoltaic panels on ground-mounted frames.
