Longford County Council has granted planning permission for the new cinema complex planned for Longford town.
Earlier this year, Omniplex bought the vacant Longford Shopping Centre in Longford town beside its existing cinema. The price was reportedly €1.2 million and it’s expected about one hundred jobs will be created.
The project will also include restaurant and cafés. Last week, the council granted planning permission, subject to nine conditions. On Tuesday's Bottom Line, Eoghan Murphy spoke to Independent councillor Gerry Warnock about the plans.
